Jason Colleran
With over two decades in biomechanics and athletic performance, Jason Colleran turned a career-ending injury into category-creating innovation — pioneering dynamic arm support and helping redefine how athletes protect performance and extend longevity.
The Problem
Overuse-related shoulder and elbow injuries continue to impact athletes and active professionals. During high-speed, dynamic movement, these joints experience their greatest mechanical load. Yet many traditional solutions rely on restriction or static support rather than helping manage stress at the highest-load phases of motion.
The Innovation
Pioneered dynamic dual-joint arm support, developing multi-patented MuscleWeb® technology engineered to help offload arm stress during high-velocity movement — without limiting motion.
The Mission
To advance the future of arm performance by delivering science-driven innovation that helps athletes and active professionals protect durability, optimize mechanics, and extend longevity—without compromise.
EXPERTISE
Over twenty years of applied experience across athletic performance, biomechanics science, and product innovation form the backbone of Jason Colleran’s work. His career has been shaped not by trend, but by disciplined observation, hands-on athlete development, and a commitment to solving one of sport’s most persistent challenges.
Blending firsthand competitive experience with decades of consulting, assessment, and mechanical analysis, Jason built his expertise from the ground up — working directly with athletes, studying movement patterns in real time, and refining solutions through evidence and iteration.

HIS-STORY
FULL STORY
Jason Colleran’s work did not begin in a laboratory. It began on a baseball field.
As a former collegiate athlete, his career did not end in one catastrophic moment. It ended the way many athletic careers do — through the cumulative toll of overuse, fatigue, and compensation. Years of pushing through pain. Managing symptoms. Continuing to compete.
Until his body forced a different outcome. What followed was not just heavy disappointment — it was a haunting question:
“Why did I break down when I followed the training, conventional treatment, and protocols I was supposed to?”
It was this loss — and this question — that reshaped the trajectory of his life.
Colleran emerged from that experience with a clarity of purpose that has never wavered. He needed to understand, at a fundamental level, why his body broke down and why throwing arms fail. And he was determined to find the answers so he could help other athletes avoid what he went through.
He opened his performance training center, Elite Edge, in Atlanta and began working with athletes from youth to elite levels across MLB, NFL, NBA, UFC, and more. The facility quickly earned a reputation as one of the premier science-driven performance gyms in the region — receiving recognition awards from Atlanta Magazine for Best Trainer & Best Training Facility.
Inside Elite Edge, he observed the overuse and arm injury epidemic firsthand — case by case. Despite differences in sport or level, the pattern was consistent: repetitive high-velocity movement, accumulating joint stress, compensation throughout the kinetic chain, and eventual breakdown.
The education he pursued alongside his hands-on training career was not casual. He completed mastery-level coursework in resistance mechanics, biomechanics, and neuromuscular science — determined to understand the problem at its root. From this perspective, he began to see what others were missing.
The human body operates as an integrated kinetic chain. Compensation patterns extend far beyond the injured joint. And during high-velocity throwing, the shoulder and elbow are dynamically inseparable — co-stressed in vulnerable end-range positions.
Yet no product on the market was built to support that dual-joint reality in real time or address the issue at its source.
The turning point came when he saw technology capable of measuring elbow stress during motion. It sparked a defining question: If dynamic arm stress can be measured in real time, why can’t it be reduced in real time?
Nothing existed to answer that question.
"I realized that my understanding of biomechanics and neuromuscular science could help bridge the gap between orthopedic care and performance. I had the skill set to design a prototype that had never been attempted before."
— Jason Colleran, Founder
Many said it couldn’t be done. So he built it himself.
He borrowed an industrial sewing machine and created his first prototype. It wasn’t pretty — but it worked. He collaborated with industrial engineers to refine the design and began testing, collecting data, and validating results inside his facility.
That early prototype evolved into Kinetic Arm — the world’s first dynamic arm stabilizer powered by his multi-patented MuscleWeb® technology. Engineered to provide movement-responsive, dual-joint stabilization, it was designed to help offload dynamic arm stress while preserving performance mechanics.
More than a decade later, Kinetic Arm has been validated through independent and peer-reviewed research demonstrating its ability to measurably reduce joint stress during throwing motions. It is now being adopted across professional leagues on multiple continents.
But the mission remains unchanged: Help athletes stay active, perform consistently, and avoid the fate that ended his own athletic career.
What began as personal adversity became a biomechanics-driven innovation — and the foundation of the world’s first proven dynamic arm support system.
