This web network of polymers helps to reinforce joints, muscles and connective tissue structures, to help promote safer and more efficient arm movements to help minimize stress that can lead to fatigue, pain, or overuse injury.

WHY WEARING COMBINED ELBOW & SHOULDER SUPPORT IS ESSENTIAL

Kinetic Arm provides combined elbow and shoulder support which is essential due to the interconnected nature of these joints, and the compensation patterns that can occur during dynamic arm movements.

  • Compensation Patterns: When one part of the arm is unsupported, other parts often compensate to manage the load, leading to improper mechanics and increased stress. For example, insufficient shoulder support can lead to increased elbow strain and vice versa.

ANTERIOR SHOULDER SUPPORT

Strategically placed polymers overlay the anterior part of the shoulder to give multi-directional support to the joint, muscles, and ligaments during dynamic arm movements. The MuscleWeb® design is engineered to stretch and move with the arm while giving essential supportive tension that helps aid in stabilizing the anterior shoulder when in the weakest ranges and offloading stress from the musculoskeletal system. When the arm is rotates forward during dynamic arm motions these polymers help to offload stress from the biceps tendon and labrum by not letting the arm lag behind as the trunk rotates. This layer of external support helps stabilize the front side of the shoulder during passive ranges to help reduce stress that can lead to common overuse injuries in sites such as the biceps tendon, labrum and rotator cuff.

FULL ELBOW SUPPORT

Strategically placed polymers overlay the medial and lateral elbow, providing comprehensive targeted support to the joint, ligaments, and forearm muscles. During dynamic arm movements this MuscleWeb® design reinforces the elbow providing essential stabilization and targeted support to the medial elbow during external rotation and late cocking phases of arm movement such as throwing, swinging, hitting and serving. By externally stabilizing the elbow in passive ranges, where peak stress is the highest, it helps to reduce elbow torque and dynamic stress that can lead to common overuse injuries such as medial epicondylitis, UCL injuries, and avulsion fractures.

POSTERIOR SHOULDER SUPPORT

Strategically placed polymers overlay the posterior part of the shoulder, providing multi-directional support to the joint, muscles, and ligaments during dynamic arm movements. The MuscleWeb® design allows full range of motion while providing key support to the posterior shoulder to help minimize stress during the arm deceleration phase in movements such as throwing, swinging, serving and hitting. This web of support aids in offloading dynamic arm stress from the posterior shoulder by assisting in the eccentric control of the scapula and humerus. As muscles elongate on the posterior side during arm movements, the MuscleWeb® helps to offload distraction forces at the posterior shoulder and elbow by assisting with external support.
